The CLCL Student Ambassador Program allows student volunteers to share their love of language and put their organizational and communication skills to use representing the programs housed in the Department of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures, and Cultures and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. The ambassadors are current students majoring or minoring in departmental programs who are passionate about the experiences and opportunities language learning, linguistics, translation, international studies, and study abroad can offer.

Ambassadors actively engage in the faculty-led recruitment and retention efforts of the departments, informing interested students about the specifics and benefits of studying languages, linguistics, translation, and international studies at Iowa. Through their efforts, they enhance the visibility and appeal of departmental programs, contributing to a vibrant academic environment.
